People often ask how have we decided from all breeds for a Tibetan terrier? Well, as every other kid I have also wanted a
dog. That wish never came true. So, as we are growing up and getting old, we get an opportunity to fulfill some of our
childhood wishes. I made my wish come true. I have to point it out that neither did I or my husband ever had a dog. The
idea was always somewhere twinkling in our mind, and finally we've got a chance to make it true when we moved from
downtown to suburb. Some of you might think that the house is a one of conditions for having a dog. Yet we got one, and
it's not a standalone house and it has some infield, our dog is living together with us in the house. We taught a lot about
the breed we would like to have considering we have tree kids, and for more practical reasons we knew it had to be a
smaller dog. Cause, when you travel somewhere you have to take a proper care for the dog. Either to ask someone to watch
it for you or to take it with you. We wanted for our dog to be a true member of our family, it means that it goes everywhere
we go. So we started to look for a smaller one. My husband and I like more a longhair dogs, so that was the main direction
we were looking. We knew nothing about of middle or smaller breeds, so we stared to inform ourselves. Searching the
internet we accidentally find the name of Ljiljana Vlašić Maršić, and she was the person who inspired us to decide for
Tibetan terrier. She offered us few best Breeders in Germany, Austria and Italy. She helped us a lot, and helping us still
with her advices. The choice was Austria, and finally Nima came home. A beautiful playful puppy stroked right into our
hearts. She choose me. When I'm at home all of the time she's following me around. So, I like to call her my little shadow.
No matter who else is home, where I am, there she is. Even when I go to sleep she's right there beside my sleepers. So when
I want to get up, in the middle of the night, or early in the morning I have to take a good care not to squeeze her. I simply
adore her. It's hard to understand that for someone who never had a pet. Every member of our family have to pet her when
they come home from work or school, cause she looks so happy and thrilled on the sound of opening outdoors, and this is
like a ticket for entering the house. Every beginning is a little difficult, and we were wondering how we'll manage her hair,
and will the whole house be full of it. We was very surprised when we'd find out that Tibetan terrier does not leave hair.
Only when she scratches, she leaves a small clue of hair looking more like a sheep wool. When a dog is still a puppy you
have to comb it a lot so it can get use to the comb, and combing. Very soon this grow into the habit for the owner and for
the dog, and the dog consider it normal. If the dog does not go on exhibitions, it's far enough to bade it once a month, or
sooner if it's get dirty. Our attention was not to have exhibition dog, but we wanted just for once to see how that looks. But
once when you meet a lovely people, see a lot of beautiful dogs, you get to love it. Then you also get a few awards, have few
successes, and it groves into you. This is our story, describing how did two people who never had a dog fell in love in breed
of Tibetan terrier, and now considering to become a Breeders. People like to say Tibetan terriers are good luck charms.
That's something Nima certainly is for us!
